Salary: £700 per month

Job Summary:

We are looking for an Intern Economist who will support our product, sales, leadership and marketing teams with insights gained from analyzing company data. 

You will assist the business intelligence team to analyse data on the HATDeX platform and help scale our business; improve the experience for HAT owners on their HAT app and provide insights to our partners integrating HAT personal data accounts. 

Using experimental or observational data, you will get to help answer questions like:

  • How do we understand the interaction between HAT owners and their HATs? What are the insights we can draw on based on sessions and API calls? What other data might we need?

  • How can we use the data we have to help improve data literacy of HAT owners?

  • What is the business impact of new integrations?

  • What are the trade-offs HAT owners face when sharing their data? How should we decide between them? What data would we need?

  • How will a change in the user interface affect choice behavior? How do we know what is effective?

The work you will do will have direct, measurable impact on the strategy of the company.

  • Ability to think creatively and insightfully about business-relevant economic problems

  • A critical thinker with very strong attention to detail

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Economics or Econometrics (preferred)

  • Ideally industry experience since the completion of your academic career

  • Proficiency with analytical tools like R/Python and familiarity with SQL

  • Ability to understand and design markets and incentives taking into account the information environment and strategic interactions

  • Excellent people skills — you’ll be meeting with stakeholders to translate business needs into economic problems
